SUSTAINABILITY IN IMPLANTOLOGY
First ecologically sustainable implantology congress in Germany. On May 12 and 13, 2023, the ITI Congress will be held in Dresden with a focus on the topic of ‘Sustainability in Implantology’.
Today more than ever, sustainability and the sensible and responsible use of resources are in focus. For this reason, the German and Austrian sections of ITI are dedicated to organizing this year’s congress to be as sustainable and environmentally conscious as possible. In concrete terms, this means: electricity from renewable energy sources, catering from seasonal, regional cultivation, environmentally conscious and discounted DB travel with the ITI congress ticket, and environmentally friendly lighting and media concepts such as a digital congress bag via mobile app. In addition, €25 per participant will be donated to Atmosfair for active climate protection.
The scientific focus of the congress will be on patient-centered aspects with tissue regeneration, decision-making regarding optimal choice of therapy for the benefit of the patient, evidence-based and innovative surgery and prosthetics, and dental technology updates. The focus is on proven scientific knowledge and documented concepts that enable stable long-term success while making optimal use of all available resources. “In the concepts, we would like to work on the concept of sustainability in a broad way on the complex of topics of training, research, selection and use of materials, and communication,” emphasizes Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. dent. Johannes Kleinheinz, Past Chairman of the ITI Section Germany and Congress President.
Dentistry will continue to be committed to sustainable treatment in the future. New ways of implantology, tissue regeneration, dental technology and sustainable concepts will be united at the ITI Congress in Dresden.
